Journalist Girish Giri’s debut book hits stands

Girish's bookKathmandu / March 12: Journalist Girish Giri’s book, Birgunj: Mero Sahar Ko Katha was launched amid a programme in the capital city on Friday.

In the book launching programme, journalist Narayan Wagle and politician Surendra Chaudhary made comments on Giri’s debut book that focuses different dimensions of Birgunj city.

On the occasion, politician Chaudhary said that Birgunj is the hub of the country’s economy while Kathmandu is politically.

Likewise, writer Giri said that he wrote the book after realising a sense of ‘suffocation’ that the folks in the historic city felt during the times of recent political hullaballoo. Giri added that efforts have been made to analyse the social, economic and cultural aspects of the common people in his book published by nepa~laya. RSS
