Dixit and Shah bag Madan Shila Sahittik Srasta award

Madan Shila AwardKathmandu / March 12: Litterateur Madanmani Dixit and Prema Shah have been awarded with the Madan Shila Literary Writers Award amid a programme held here on Saturday.

The award, which carries a purse of Rs 101,000 and a copper plaque has been conferred to litterateur duo for their literary contribution to Nepali literature and language.

Similarly, Madan Shila Literary Journalism Award has been awarded to Rochak Ghimire. Along with the award, Ghimire received a cash prize amounting to Rs 51,000.

Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha conferred the award in a programme organized by Madan Shila Foundation.

Since the 94-year-old Dixit is in the USA for treatment, his son Binod Dixit received the award in his behalf and the kin of Prema Shah received the award since the latter is also in the States. The award was set up in 2015 in memory of litterateur Madandev Bhattarai. RSS
