UML gen secy invites NC to join incumbent govt

Ishwor PokharelBiratnagar / March 19: CPN (UML) general secretary Ishwor Pokharel has said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s upcoming China visit would be focused on strengthening the bilateral relations and added that some agreements including on trade and transit would be signed.

“The Prime Minister’s China visit should not be taken as a step against India,” Pokharel said at a press meet organised by Press Chautari Morang chapter here this morning.

During the programme, Pokharel urged the Nepali Congress to join the incumbent government for the implementation of the new constitution adding that the current government would conduct the upcoming parliamentary elections.

He also questioned the relevancy of the agitations launched by the Madhesi Morcha and said that the movement should not be to destabilise the social harmony.

On a separate context, leader Pokharel said that the 10-day-long Koshi-Mechi Tourism Promotion Campaign launched by the UML would contribute further to the promotion of country’s tourism sector.
