National football team leaves for Malaysia

Nepal-national-football-team-750x450Kathmandu / March 25: The national football squad today left for Malaysia in connection with a friendly match with the Malaysian Under 22 national team.

The Nepali team of 23 players and eight officials took a plane to Malaysia at about 9 pm today. The Nepali national team comprises Bikesh Kuthu, Bishal Shrestha, Kiran Kumar Limbu, Bijaya Dhimal, Biraj Maharjan, Devendra Tamang, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Jitendra Karki, Kamal Shrestha, Man Bahadur Tamang, Rabin Shrestha, Ranjit Dhimal, Bishal Rai, Heman Gurung, Jagjit Shrestha, Prakash Budhathoki, Sujal Shrestha, Sunil Bal, Bharat Khawas, Bishwas Shrestha, Nawayug Shrestha, Ranjan Bista and Suman Lama.

Similarly, chief coach Gyutoku Koji and coach Birat Jung Shahi, among other officials are accompanying the national squad, according to All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

ANFA acting president Narendra Shrestha and officials bid farewell to the team at a programme organised at the ANFA Complex at Satdobato. They expressed best wishes for the team’s victory. Nepal Airlines Corporation provided 50 percent concession to the 31-member team. RSS
