PM Oli asks businessmen of Shaanxi to invest in Nepal

Tirtha Bhattaree (China) / March 26: Prime Minister KP Sharma has asked the Chinese businessmen to invest in Nepal.

Addressing a business community meeting at Hotel Shangri-La on Friday, Prime Minister Oli said that an environment conducive has been created for foreign investment in Nepal.

He said, “Xi’an is origin place of ancient silk route. Nepal also wants to be benefitted from the campaign ‘One area one route’ launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping for its modernization.”

PM Oli said that Nepal and China has old relation and there was no any problem between the two countries.

He said, “We are very happy in progress of China. We want to take benefit from it.”

The Prime Minister said that Nepal has adopted liberal economic policies, enacted investment-friendly laws and created environment conducive for investment, from which businessmen could get benefit.

Similarly, Chief Executive Officer at the Investment Board Nepal, Radhes Panta, said that there are plenty of potentials for the investment in hydropower, transport, infrastructure development sectors in Nepal and goods produced in Nepal could be taken in the markets of South Asia.

The Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission also pointed out the possibilities of carrying out work on a joint investment between Nepali and Chinese businessmen at Xi’an.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Oli also visited the historic Terracotta warriors Museum at Xi’an on the same day. RSS
