Krishnasen ‘Icchuk’ Award for Sharma

Krishna SenKathmandu / March 27: Reporter’s Club Nepal has decided to present this year’s ‘Krishnasen Ichhuk Memorial Journalism Award’ to Om Sharma, former General Secretary of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ).

A meeting of the Club today decided to present the award, carrying a purse of Rs 25,000 to journalist Sharma.

Likewise, Ram Kumar Kamat, executive political bureau chief of the Himalayan Times, the national English daily, is to be awarded with the ‘Birendra Shah Memorial Journalism Award’ carrying a purse of Rs 20,000.

Similarly, the meeting picked up the name of senior sub-editor of ‘The Kathmandu Post (national English daily), Kamal Dev Bhattarai and Radio Nepal’s news director Khagendra Khatri for the ‘Best Youth Journalism Award’. The award carries a purse of Rs 10,000 each. RSS
