CIAA finds embezzlement in non-formal education, moves to court against six

CIAAKathmandu / March 29: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a lawsuit against six people including the then District Education Officer of Rautahat at the Special Court on the charge of embezzlement in the Non-Formal Education and National Literacy programmes.

They have been indicted of embezzling Rs 4.7 million through forgery working with a non-government organisation, according to Commission Spokesperson Krishnahari Pushkar. The then Rautahat’s DEO Upendra Mandal and office-bearers of CLC Federation Network Rautahat have been charged of involvement in the crime.

Federation’s Narmada Acharya, Ranjan Kumar Karna, Jaya Prakash Yadav and Prem Shankar Mishra are among those facing the CIAA charge.

The CIAA has demanded maximum action as per law against the accused. RSS
