New Miss Nepal vows to popularize Nepal in international arena

Miss-nepalKathmandu / April 9: Miss Nepal-2016, Asmi Shrestha, has shared her felicity over her being announced the new Miss Nepal and vowed that she would make her best efforts to popularize Nepal in the international arena. Shrestha clinched the title out of 19 contestants. She was announced the 22nd Miss Nepal on Friday.

With this crown, Shrestha will represent Nepal in the Miss World Contest while first runner-up (Roshani Khatri) and second runner-up (Barsha Lekhi) will represent the country in the Miss Earth and Miss International respectively. Miss Nepal Shrestha is the second one from Chitwan district, as Shristi Shrestha, Miss Nepal-2012 was the first one.

Viewing the history of the Miss Nepal since 1994, twelve have been selected from the Kathmandu valley (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur) so far, while other cities of beauties for the Miss Nepal are Dharan, Birgunj, Pokhara and Chitwan. RSS
