24 football coaches complete AFC ‘A’ coaching certificate course

AFCKathmandu / May 21: Twenty-four football coaches have today completed the AFC ‘A’ Coaching Certificate Course under the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), in partnership with AFC, conducted the course for the Nepali coaches in two phases. The first phase training was held at the ANFA Complex in Lalitpur from March 25 to April 6 while the second phase training that started on May 9 concluded today.

FIFA- and AFC-recognised coach Vaithilingam Subramaniam imparted the training. Those who completed the course are former coach of the Nepali national team, Bal Gopal Maharjan, Upendra Man Singh, Hari Khadka, Madhu Karki, Mrigendra Prasad Mishra, Nabin Neupane, Kumar Thapa, Rajendra Tamang, Megh Raj KC, Hariom Shrestha among others.

Speaking at the concluding ceremony of the training, ANFA acting president Narendra Shrestha said that this is the first time in the country that this kind of course has been conducted and all the club-level coaches would be provided this course by 2018. RSS
