Kolung Jharana awaits publicity

Morang / June 1: The Kolung Jharana ( a natural water fountain) based in Jate-5 in Morang is awaiting publicity. The site that offers a scenic view of hills and is home to rare herbs has fallen under shadow for lack of publicity and promotion.

Local Nar Singh Bahadur Rai sees the need of collective efforts among the locals and bodies concerned for the publicity of the only natural water fountain in the district. In his view, the publicity of Kolung Jharana could become a good means of promoting local tourism as well.

Likewise, Jante Tourism Promotion Committee coordinator Indra Dhakal views that the state should work for the publicity and protection of the natural heritage, carrying a mythical importance. The fountain welcomes over 10,000 tourists from the district and outside every year. RSS
