PAC decides to seek clarifications with regard to transfer of CDOs

ParliamentKathmandu / June 3: The Legislature-Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee today decided to seek clarifications from the Home Minister and the Minister for the Federal Affairs and Local Development and the Minister for General Administration with regard to the mass transfer of chief district officers (CDO) across the country recently.

Today’s committee meeting decided to take a decision to this effect following the complaint by the General Administration Minister Rekha Sharma that the Home Ministry did not take any permission from her Ministry to transfer CDOs.

“The Home Ministry did not take permission from the Ministry of General Administration to make the transfer. So investigation into the case is going on,” Sharma said.

Meanwhile, Sharma informed at the meeting that her Ministry had stalled the applications submitted to her Ministry seeking transfer of other 21 under secretaries and 22 section officers across the country, citing various reasons. RSS
