Six human traffickers arrested

Metropolition Police Crime SectionKathmandu / June 5: The Metropolitan Police Crime Division has arrested six people on the charge of their involvement in human trafficking.

The arrested are- Bal Kumari Bishwokarma, Bina Tamang, Nabin Dhital, Jeevan Urau, Ashok Tamang and Rupnarayan Rajbanshi.

A team deployed from the Division arrested them from different districts including Morang and Sunsari on Friday and Saturday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Division, Mukunda Marasini, said that the human traffickers were arrested after learning that some Nepali and Indian people were making attempt to traffic them to Kuwait.

Marasini added, “We have been carrying out further investigation into the case as human traffickers are found taking Rs 250,000 per person from the middlemen.” RSS
