Free health camp at remote village delights locals

Parbat / June 12: More than four hundred villagers went through health examination here at a free health camp held on Saturday.

The one-day free health examination and medicine distribution programme was held at the Pashupati Higher Secondary School premises at Ramjadeurali VDC of Parbat at a joint initiative of Ramja Pokhara Communication Society, Lions Club of Tourism City-Pokhara and Nepal Medical Association, Gandaki.

As many as 415 patients suffering from a wide range of health problems from Ramjadeurali, Chitre and Pakuwa areas received cost-free treatment at the health camp.

The health camp provided health treatments in child diseases, woman’s diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, sexually transmitted disease, mental health problems and skin diseases among other. The villagers also received free medicines.

Hari Prasad Gautam, a local of the area, expressed delight at being able to receive health treatment at his doorstep. It is a matter of pride that we are receiving service from doctors at our doorstep, Gautam shared. RSS
