Power produced from wind in Mustang

EnergyMustang / June 18: Attempts made to produce electricity from wind have become successful at Jomsom, the district headquarters of Mustang.

A total of 1.5 kilowatt power has been generated at the attempts of Buddha Power Pvt Ltd.
Company Director Puskar Timilsina said that the production would be increased on the basis on speed of wind.

Solar panels have also been installed as backup for other times as wind blows in high speed in day time in Mustang.
Timilsina said, “We have been generating power as a trail. We have been making plan to produce electricity in a professional manner after bringing a large-size machine.”

As per the study report, power could be generated from wind as wind blows in high speed at Muktinath, Kagbeni, Jomsom, Marfa and Kobang VDCs.

The power produced from wind has been installed to three houses for the time being. RSS
