Grant for more than 700 farmers

Morang / June 20: The District Agriculture Development Office-Morang has started distributing grant assistance to farmers under the Paddy Production Programme.
The Office distributed cash to 731 farmers who are planting hybrid paddy through SRI technology, the DADC, Morang said.
Each of the farmers received Rs 5,000 per hectare of land, DADC-Morang Chief Rajendra Upreti said. They were given 50 per cent grant in seeds, paddy winnowing machine and power trailers, he added.
Farmers in Belbari, Madhumalla, Urlabari, Pathari, Shanischare, Itahara, Rajghat and Dangi among other localities received the grant assistance. RSS
