Judiciary should be made strong says SC Justice

Supreme CourtArghakhanchi / June 24: Senior Justice of the Supreme Court Gopal Prasad Parajuli has stressed the need to make judiciary strong to leverage national dignity and development.

Making on-site inspection of the Office of District Court Arghakhanchi and its under-construction building on Thursday, Senior Justice Parajuli said no side should subject the court to attack during conflict time as judiciary is the concern of the people and an institution of the state.

The building of the District Court Arghakhanchi was devastated in an attack of the Maoists during the insurgency time. All important documents, records and inventories were destroyed in the lethal attack.

He further noted that judiciary should in no way be put to target of attack in any pretext as the damage of civilian records, testimonials and details could allow guilty to go unpunished and affect justice dispensation process.

He also said that they are effortful to modernize the judiciary. On the occasion, District Judge Keshab Prasad Bastola briefed about the district court. RSS
