Nuwakot launches greenery promotion campaign

forestNuwakot / June 28:The District Soil Conservation Office Nuwakot has launched greenery promotion campaign.

The office is distributing saplings of different varieties to the locals as a part of campaign meant for increasing green areas, environmental conservation and building an eco-friendly community. The drive was launched Monday, according to Nuwakot’s Chief District Officer Bishnu Prasad Pokhrel.

‘One house on tree, one village one forest and one town multiple gardens’ is the motto of the campaign. The office has planned to distribute 50,000 saplings of different varieties to the locals free of cost, District Soil Conservation Officer Sundar Prasad Sharma said. RSS
