Canada’s contribution big in Nepal’s development: Minister Chand

Minister ChandKathmandu / July 1: Minister for Commerce, Jayant Chand, has said there was a remarkable contribution of Canada in Nepal’s development.

At a programme organised by Nepal-Canada Friendship and Cultural Association on the occasion of National Day of Canada here Friday, Minister Chand said although Canada is far from Nepal, it has been providing huge support to Nepal.

Similarly, former Minister and former Ambassador Dr Bhesh Bahadur Thapa said that Nepal should learn from the development of Canada. Canada has a great contribution in education, health, among other sectors of Nepal, he added.

Chairman of Nepal Mountaineering Association, Aang Chhiring Sherpa, mentioned that Canada had provided huge support in Nepal’s tourism. It also provided support in Dhading, Solukhumbu, Rasuwa, Sindhupalchowk and other districts during April 25 earthquake.

Likewise, Association Chairman and former Ambassador Hiranyalal Shrestha expressed commitment that the Association would involve in the development of tourism sector. RSS
