Ten arrested for obstructing construction of transmission line

ElectricitySindhuli / July 2: In what seems as a bold move of the government to take action against people involved in obstructing the development process, Police here on Saturday arrested 10 people for obstructing the construction of Khimti-Dhalkebar 220 KV transmission line along the Sindhuli section in Sindhuli district.

They were arrested for the interruption in the construction of the high-tension tower, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Sindhuli.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said Shyam Kumar Saru Magar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DPO, Sindhuli.

The construction of Khimti-Dhalkebar 220 KV transmission line has not completed since 10 years owing to various reasons. Construction of transmission line is taken as crucial for development of energy sector of the country. RSS
