Concerted efforts emphasised to make 13th SAG successful

Kathmandu / July 2: Players and concerned authorities have urged all to make the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) successful. The championship is to be organized in Nepal in 2018.

Speaking in a programme on ‘preparation and challenge of SAG’, organized here on the occasion of 92nd International Sports Journalists Day, today, participant players urged all to make it successful.

Nepal Olympic Committee chair Jeevan Ram Shrestha shared that they were working out to organize the championship in slated time; however, earthquake, border blockade and other disasters had caused difficulties in the preparation.

He further informed that they were in constant consultation with the government in this regard and that the Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has expressed commitment for the same.

A message of best wishes issued by Gianni Merlo, President of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), was read out on the occasion. RSS
