Musical concert to collect funds to rebuild quake-damaged school

ConcertKathmandu / July 2: Pop singer Adrian Pradhan with the help of his friends is now busy in collecting funds to rebuild earthquake-damaged building of Janata Higher Secondary School based in Hokse of Kavrepalanchowk.

A large number of audiences joined a musical concert he organised in the capital Saturday. He sang his famous songs such as ‘yo man ta mero Nepali ho,’ ‘Parelima Lukairakhana’, ‘Nabhana mero maya lagchha bhani’ and , ‘guransai phulyo banaima’ .

The event named ‘Shanti Fiesta 2016’ was arranged by the Mirmire Youth Society. Adrian’s colleagues Anil Shahi, Milan Amatya and Rose Moktan accompanied him.

Funds collected from the music concert will be spent to rebuild the school building, Club Chair Rajib Thapa said. Some 560 students of the school are studying in huts after the earthquake flattened the school building. The entry fee to the event was Rs 300 per head. RSS
