Forty-six dead, 17 mission in floods and landslides

Nepal FloodKathmandu / July 6: Forty-six people have died due to floods and landslides triggered by the monsoon rains across the country.

According to the Home Ministry, the deaths occurred in the past one week, with 17 still unaccounted for. Likewise, 150 houses were swept away and a damage of Rs. 20 million has been caused, as per the preliminary estimates.

Details about the latest damage caused by floods and landslides in Sindhupalchowk and other districts today is yet to be received, Home Ministry spokesperson Yadav Prasad Koirala said. RSS
