Shashank Koirala’s health significantly improves, shifted to ICU

ShasankKathmandu / July 7: Health condition of ailing Nepali Congress General Secretary Dr Shashank Koirala has significantly improved, said doctors involved in his treatment.

Koirala was rushed to Chabahil-based Om Hospital on Tuesday night after some problems in breathing. Earlier treated on ventilator support Koirala was ishifted to the Intensive Care Unit at 15:00 pm.

At a press conference organised late this evening to give health updates of Koirala, Dr Laba Narsingh Joshi said, ” Dr Koirala is self-breathing and has come back to the state of full consciousness.”

None except medical team is allowed to visit him at ICU to avoid untoward infection.

Dr Joshi said Koirala has witnessed significant improvements in his health however it could not be said that he was out of danger. RSS
