Surya Kumar Chhetri national inter media cup Futsal competition to start from July 25

Kathmandu / July 9: Journalist Surya Kumar Chhetri First National Inter Media Cup Futsal Competition-2016 will take place in the Capital from July 25.

The tournament aims to provide monetary assistance for the schooling of the late Chhetri’s son, said the organizer Goalpost Sports and Training Centre, Bhainsepati at a press conference today.

Chhetri, who was suffering from brain tumor, died two months ago while undergoing treatment. He was 33.

Venue for the three-day competition will be at the Futsal stadium in Bhainsepati.

The winner team will receive Rs 25,000 while first runner up team will get Rs 15,000. Likewise, the second runner up team will receive Rs 10,000.

Each participating team will be charged Rs 2,000. Ticket booking for entrance has been opened and tickets will be available at the office of Nepal Sports Journalists Forum in Tripureshwar and the office of the training centre in Bhainsepati, said the training centre’s managing director Keshab Thapa.
