Six-member committee formed to study about ration card system

Digital Ration CardKathmandu / July 11: The Ministry of Supplies Monday constituted a six-member committee to study about the issue regarding the implementation of a ration card system for smooth supply of consumer goods. The committee headed by Joint Secretary (Department of Supplies Management) Uttam Prasad Nagila was formed as per the Cabinet decision on July 6.

The committee comprises under secretaries of Ministries of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation and Federal Affairs and Local Development, the Director of the Department of Supplies Management and Consumers Rights Protection, and Chair of Consumer I Nepal, Bimala Khanal as its members.

It includes Joint Secretary Prem Prasad Acharya (Ministry of Supplies) as the member secretary.

The committee has been assigned to submit its report to the Ministry within the next three months, as stated by Ministry Spokesperson Joint Secretary Anandaram Regmi. RSS
