Nandikhola Hydel project benefits 212 households of Malkabang

ElectricityMyagdi / July 16: Locals of a remote Malkabang VDC in Myagdi district are elated after getting power service from Wednesday. They got the electricity service after construction task of 42-kilowatt Nandibangkhola Micro Hydropower Project at Malkabang VDC.

The hydel project was constructed with financial support of Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC), Lalitpur, and technical support of Dhaulagiri Community Resource Development Center (DCRDC), Baglung.

Joint-Secretary at the Hydropower Project Construction Committee, Hari Bahadur Chhantyal, said that the hydel project was constructed at a cost of Rs 22.365 million where APEC provided Rs 8.190 million.

Similarly, locals also contributed voluntary labour worth Rs 5.95 million while Malkabang folks, living abroad, provided Rs 4.9 million.

A total of 212 households from ward No.2-6 of the VDC have got the electricity service from Wednesday. RSS
