Founder General Secretary of Communist Party of Nepal Pushpa Lal being remembered

Pushpa Lal ShresthaKathmandu / July 22: The 38th Memorial Day of Pushpa Lal Shrestha, the founder general-secretary of Communist Party of Nepal, is being observed today by organizing different programmes.

The CPN was established under the leadership of Pushpa Lal in 2006 BS. On the occasion, Pushpa Lal Memorial Foundation has organized a condolence meet, book launching and talk programme at Champadevi of Kirtipur today.

Prime Minsiter and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and leader Madhav Kumar Nepal among others are attending the programme.

Leader Pushpa Lal’s contributions to propagate communist movement and national independence are worth-remembering in Nepal.

Mysterious unfolding of events

Meanwhile, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said mysterious unfolding of events were detrimental to political stability at a time when the country was in need of effective implementation of the constitution.

In a message on the occasion of the 38th memorial day of the founder general secretary of Nepal Communist Party, Pushpa Lal today, PM Oli said the entire country and the people are worried over the recent political developments. Such developments can’t lead the country towards progress, he added.

“I kindly request one and all not to be guided by petty party activities triggered with the vested personal interests, which ruin unity among the democratic forces,” said PM Oli, who is also the Chairman of the CPN-UML.

He has stressed the need of consolidating the democratic achievements as republic, and inclusive system and boosting national prestige.

According to him, the contribution of the late leader Pushpa Lal was unforgettable, for his farsighted vision resulted in the success of the communist movements and the people’s movement of 1990 too.

“Pushpa Lal’s thoughts are guiding every mode of change in Nepal,” he added. RSS
