Sports glorifying Nepal in international arena: President Bhandari

Kathmandu / July 26: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said the sports have glorified Nepal in the international arena.

President Bhandari said this while extending best wishes to Nepali athletes who are going to participate in the Olympics in Brazil.

“Sports are the best mediums to introduce Nepal in the international arena,” she said, adding that she also wished to congratulate the team when they return with titles.

On the occasion, Nepal Olympics Committee Chairman Jeevanram Shrestha expressed hope that Nepal would bring glorious results, for the players were provided all sorts of facilities this time.

Seven athletes from five games are participating in the Rio Olympics 2016 being held in Brazil from August 5 to 21.

Meanwhile, President Bhandari bade fare well to the team by handing over the national flag of Nepal to Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Sharad Bista. RSS
