President Bhandari to inaugurate Youth Day progarmme on Friday

President AuthenticationKathmandu / Aug 11: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is scheduled to inaugurate the International Youth Day programme amid a function here in the capital tomorrow.

The National Youth Council vice-chair Madhav Dhungel, speaking in a press meet today, informed that the council is organizing various programmes on the occasion across the country.

The slogan of the Youth Day this year is – Youth Determination in Poverty Eradication: Independency in Production and Utilization.

Dhungel added that the council is concentrating on promoting youth entrepreneurship and making them production oriented.

On the occasion, the council will award different 20 youths who contributed from their respective sectors.

The award carries the purse of Rs 100,000. Among the 20 youths, 10 are from the sports sector and 10 others different youth talents.

Dhungel shared that 60 offices of District Youth Committee will be inaugurated on Friday itself.

Nepal is marking the International Youth Day (August 12) since 2004. RSS
