Pathivara Gold Cup goes to Gorkha Sporting Club

PathivaraTaplejung / Aug 18: The Gorkha Sporting Club of Jhapa has clinched the title during the Pathivara Gold Cup knockout football competition on Thursday.

The Gorkha Sporting Club defeated Sangharsha Sporting Club of Taplejung 2-1 in the match played at the ground of Bhanujan Higher Secondary School.

With the victory, the Gorkha Sporting Club grabbed the title, medal, certificate letter and the cash prize of RS 151,000, while the first runner up Sangharsha Sporting Club got the cash prize of Rs 111,111, along with a medal and certificate letter.

Meanwhile, the Parijat Women Football Club of Jhapa bagged the title in the Kanchanjunga running women football competition held here on Thursday itself. The Suryodaya Youth Club of Morang was defeated 1-0 in the match. RSS
