AFC cup: three star starts with a win

AFCKathmandu / Aug 21: Nepali national football league winner Three Star Club (TSC) defeated the Erchim football club of Mongolia by 2-0 in the first leg of the qualifying match for the AFC cup football tournament.

In the match held earlier today in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, Nigerian recruit for TSC Martins Kayode scored the first goal in the 13th minute while Bikram Lama made it 2-0 to seal a win for his team in the 75th minute of the match.

The TSC will now play the Nagaworld football club of Cambodia on Tuesday. The play-off phase has been divided into three groups, with the group winner going to the second round. TSC representing Nepal is in Group ‘b’. RSS
