Khotang Society in UK set to donate seven ambulances

Ambulance ServiceKhotang, Nov 6: The Khotang Sewa Samaj – UK has pledged to provide seven ambulances for two primary health centres and five health posts in the Khotang district.

The Society’s Ambulance Coordination Committee Kathmandu Coordinator, Jaya Kumar Rai, on Friday apprised an all-party meeting held at the local peace committee office of the plan to donate seven ambulances. The ambulances were donated to facilitate patients to travel to the hospital and to save their lives at times of emergency.

The Society had purchased nine ambulances last year for Chisapani, Dandagaun and Bakshila localities. It fundraised additional money to buy ambulances for Simpani, Nirmali Danda, Buipa and Ainselukharka, Coordinator Rai added.

Dikktel – Chakhewa road resumes

Meanwhile, the Dikktel – Chakhewa road stretch located along the mid hill highway has reopened after six months. The road was blocked due to torrential downpour in May.

The road reopened after 46 km road stretch from Dikktel to Chakhewa was repaired, said Transport Entrepreneurs Association – Khotang Secretary, Ram Kumar Hingmang. RSS
