Clamour for reviving defunct IT Park

it-park-banepaBanepa / Nov 21: The concerned stakeholders have renewed their demand for reviving a defunct IT Park in Banepa.

At the 12th Annual General Assembly of Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) Federation, Kavrepalanchowk on Sunday, CAN Federation President, Binod Dhakal said the park should be used for the purpose for which it was established.

He said it would not be acceptable for the Federation to allow the IT Park to be used by KU or any other organization.

Stating that CAN Federation was ready to take responsibility if the government cannot run an IT Park, Dhakal laid emphasis on the determination to effectively run all activities including the development of park’s physical infrastructure.

On the occasion, lawmaker Kanchan Chandra Bade accused the government of falling short of allocating necessary budget despite defining the area as a ‘smart city’. If there is budget Dhulikhel, Banepa and Panauti can be developed into a model, he added. RSS
