Pokhara Street Festival set to welcome New Year 2017

REBAN PokharaPokhara / Nov 29: The ‘Pokhara Street Festival’ is being organized by the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) – Pokhara from December 28 to January 1 at the bustling Lakeside to bid farewell to year 2016 and welcome New Year 2017.

At a press conference held on Monday, Festival’s Coordinator, Gopi Bahadur Bhattarai, said the 18th edition of the street festival – being held annually during the same time and for the same period of time – will bear the banner ‘Let’s eat in the streets, dance and revel’.

Bhattarai added that necessary preparations were underway to make the festival grand and civilized, and assured the tourists of being treated to various delicacies along with cultural and entertainment presentations.

REBAN – Pokhara Chairman, Chau Bahadur Gurung, said the street festival will span 3.5 km from Lakeside to Sahid Chowk to Patan of Khaharedihi. RSS
