Nepal improves in FIFA ranking

FIFAKathmandu / Jan 12: Nepal has ascended to third in the South Asia by advancing six positions in the new ranking list made public by FIFA on Thursday.

With the new ranking, Nepal advanced to 175th position while it was on 181st in the list last month.

India securing 129th position in the FIFA ranking has topped the list followed by Maldives (145th) in the South Asia region. Bhutan is in 176th position in global ranking of football.

In the region, Bangladesh is in 190th position followed by Sri Lanka (196th) and Pakistan 197th).

Afghanistan has dropped five position and reached 151st in the ranking. Argentina has topped the FIFA ranking accompanied by Brazil and Germany. RSS
