11 wild buffaloes released in CNP in 12 days

Wild BuffaloChitwan / Feb 6: Eleven wild buffaloes have so far been brought to the Chitwan National Park (CNP) from the Koshitappu Wildlife Reserive and the Central Zoo in the capital. Ten wild buffaloes including two males from the Koshitappu and one male from the central zoo have been brought to here recently, as said by CNP Chief Ramchandra Kandel.

Eleven wild buffaloes were released in the park in the past 12 days and more two are arriving from the Koshitappu soon, said CNP Information Officer Nurendra Aryal. The government had some two years ago decided to bring 20 wild buffaloes including five males to the park. Remaining others will be shifted in an appropriate time. RSS
