Saud wins international marathon

Nepalese ArmyKathmandu / Feb 18: Nawaraj Saud of Nepali Army has won the 11th Safal Pokhara International Marathon held here Saturday.

He completed the race in two hours, 34 minutes and 24 seconds to win a cash prize of Rs. 60,000.

Likewise, Lal Bahadur Thapa and Gyan Prasad Bhattarai, also of Nepal Army came second and third respectively. They walked home with Rs. 40,000 and rs. 25,000 respectively.

The event was organised by the former athletes’ forum Nepal, Pokhara chapter. A total of 170 athletes including a foreign national had take part in the marathon. RSS
