Visiting industry minister Joshi urges Japan to invest in Nepal

nabindra-raj-joshiKathmandu / Feb 24: Nepal’s visiting Industry Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi on Thursday separately called on Toshihiro Nikai, member of the Liberal Democratic Party and Tadahiko ITO, State Minister for Environment in Tokyo, Japan.

During the meetings, Minister Joshi discussed about the mobilization of Japanese aid for the development of Nepal, said the Ministry on Friday.

Joshi also urged Japanese investors to channelize investment in Nepal with the country having environment conducive for business and industry, said Joshi’s press advisor Pradip Chapagain.

In return, the Japanese leaders duo said Japan expressed their interests especially in the area of solid waste management and establishment of medicinal herb industry in Nepal.

The leaders also pledged to participate in the investment conference scheduled for March 2 and 3 in Nepal.

On the occasion, Nepal Rastra Bank Deputy Governor Chinta Mani Shiwakoti and Nepal’s acting ambassador to Japan Krishna Chandra Aryal were also present. RSS
