Senior litterateur Dixit honoured
Kathmandu / March 18: The Prose Writer Shankar Lamichhane Foundation has honoured Akshyar Shiromani Madanmani Dixit here on Saturday.
Organising a special programme on the occasion of 41st birth anniversary of the essayist Lamichhane, the Foundation honoured Dixit with shawl and a letter of felicitation.
Similarly, the Foundation also awarded senior litterateur Balkrishna Pokharel with this year’s ‘Shankar Lamichhane Essay Award’. The award carries a purse of Rs 50,000. Travel writer Damodar Pudasaini was felicitated with this year’s ‘Shankar Lamichhane Youth Essayist Award’. The award carries a purse of Rs 25,000 and a letter of appreciation.
On the occasion, a collection of essays titled ‘Bimochan Ko Bigbigi’ of prose writer Narendra Raj Poudel was also made public. RSS
