PHSC unanimously approves names of proposed 12 ambassadors

government logoKathmandu / March 22: The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee under the Legislature-Parliament on Wednesday approved the names of proposed ambassadors for 12 countries.

The government had recommended Lucky Sherpa (Australia), Niranjan Kumar Thapa (Israel), Sharmila Parajuli (Oman), Ramesh Prasad Koirala (Qatar), Arjun Jung Bahadur Singh (Korea), Prativa Rana (Japan), Yubnath Lamsal (Denmark), Choplal Bhusal (Bangladesh), Padam Sundas (Bahrain), Bhim Krishna Udas (Myanmar), Bishwambher Pyakurel (Sri Lanka) and Mahendra Prasad Singh Rajput (Saudi Arabia) as the ambassadors and sent the names to PHSC for hearing.

PHSC member and Chief Whip of the CPN (UML), Bhanubhakta Dhakal, said that their names were unanimously approved after parliamentary hearing. The PHSC had carried out hearing of the proposed ambassadors for three days.

During the hearing, the proposed ambassadors had presented their views and plans and expressed commitment to carry out activities keeping the country’s interest and economic diplomacy in priority. RSS
