DPM Nidhi asks security agencies to act tough during polls

Bimalendra NidhiBiratnagar / Apr. 07: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi has asked the security agencies to act tough against anti-nationalist, disintegrator and criminals in view of the upcoming local polls for May 14.

Speaking at a press meet in Biratnagar on Friday following the conclusion of eastern regional security workshop, he said, “Civil servants and security personnel are aware and efficient enough to execute their responsibility smartly.”

On the polls, DPM Nidhi said talks were on with disgruntled Madhesi Front and holding the elections in two phases could be considered as the Front he said has agreed to participate if this condition is fulfilled.

He also informed that such workshop would be held in all five development regions keeping in mind the local level elections.

Speaking on a different note about the issue of hierarchical dispute in the cabinet, he said Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba would sort out the issue through consultations. RSS
