International conference on ARFF kicks off

nepal-airportKathmandu / Aug. 16: An international conference on ‘Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF)’ has begun in the capital city on Wednesday.

ARFF America and Nepal Rescue and Fighters’ Association have jointly organised the conference under the slogan ‘Aviation Growth, Challenge and ARFF Dynamics’. Discussion would be held on the issue of safe air transport service in the two-day conference.

The conference is organised with an objective of ensuring safe, regular, reliable and effective air service.

Some 250 pilots, fire fighters and engineers from Nepal, America, Sweden, Denmark, India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Canada and South Sudan have been participating in the conference. Various stalls related to air safety have been kept there.

Inaugurating the conference, Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun drew the government’s attention for well preparation in fire control.

Vice-President Pun said that the country should be headed towards the path of economic development along with constitution implementation. RSS
