‘Yak Attack 2017’ competition begins

Cycling in NepalKathmandu / Nov 5: The eleventh edition of mountain bike race has started. ‘Yak Attack 2017’ competition is considered to be the highest mountain bike race in the world that covers the trailing route of Annapurna Trekking.

The contest started from Beshisahar of Lamjung. Last year the competition was started from Kathmandu. This year the trail will climb to the heights of 5416m above sea level. 31 cyclists from 10 countries including Nepal are participating in the competition. Nepali team is comprised of eight participants including one woman. The winner will grab US $ 1250. The trail will cover Manang lake, Upper Manang, Thorong La, Muktinath, Jomsom, and Pokhara.
