Electricity generated from Chak Khola connected to nat’l transmission line

ElectricityKathmandu / Nov 10: Electricity generated from Chak Khola Hydropower Project, in northern Ramechhap, has been connected to national transmission line from Friday.

The 33kv transmission line constructed from Chuchure of Ramechhap to Jiri of Dolakha has been connected to the Jiri Station through the transmission line.

According to project engineer Bishal Karki, the 2.83 MW electricity generated from the project has been successfully connected to the national transmission line.

The construction of project was started in 2013 through the Garjang Upatyaka Hydropower Company.

Arun Kumar Subedi, Managing Director of the project, said that the total initial outlay of the project was Rs 600 million.

It has been learnt that an agreement has been signed with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) for the purchase of the electricity generated from the project.
