NRA gives permission to release Rs 11b for private house reconstruction

Nepal Reconstruction AuthorityKathmandu / Feb 6: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has given authority to distribute Rs 11 billion to reconstruct the quake damaged private houses in worst quake-hit districts.

The NRA on Tuesday delegated the authority to central project implementation unit of Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development for the same. The NRA has stated that the reconstruction tasks were being intensified in quake hit districts.

Information officer at the NRA Manohar Ghimire shared that the NRA had urged the Ministry of Finance to transfer five billion rupees as demand of the budget might be increased.

The NRA further has stated that there was no budget crunch to reconstruct private houses in 32 districts (14 worst hit and 18 partly hit) across the country.

As per the statistics until 5:00 pm Tuesday, 291,895 houses have been reconstructed. RSS
