Palpa lake attracts domestic tourists

rara-lakePalpa / Feb 16: Boat riding services initiated at Taalpokhara in Palpa has been attracting the attention of domestic tourists in recent days.

Taalpokhara — popularly known as Mini Phewa Lake — is an artificial lake created by lifting water from the Kaligandaki River.

After the initiation of boat riding service, the number of tourists has moderately increased in the district, with more than 200 enjoying the boat ride daily, according to Sunil Devkota, Secretary of Taalpokhara Protection Committee.

He further shared that people can enjoy the boat ride as well as worship in Jaleshwor Mahadev Temple located at the centre of the lake.

There are currently two boats in operation for the ride. RSS
