Ensure 33pc women participation in Cabinet: Inter Party Women’s Alliance

Nepali WomenKathmandu / Feb 26: The Inter Party Women’s Alliance has demanded for ensuring 33 percent women participation in the new Cabinet.

In a press meet here on Monday, the Alliance has stated that without the participation of women in policy making and implementation level the democracy could not be strengthened.

The Alliance Secretary Mamata Giri on the occasion said that the women have had decisive role in the transformation of economic, social and political affairs in the country therefore their notable participation in every organ of state was essential.

About 41 per cent women have been represented in local level government and one-third in federal and provincial level. RSS
