Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation to construct int’l cricket stadium
Kathmandu / Mar 29: The Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation has announced that it will construct an international cricket stadium in the country.
Foundation Chairman Sitaram Kattel, famously known by his television character name Dhurmus, said that he decided to construct the stadium in order to enhance the game and increase the spirits of cricketers.
“Many had suggested us to construct a cricket stadium,” said Dhurmus talking to the Post, “And with the recent success in the sport we decided to construct the stadium.”
Kattel further informed that the foundation will only coordinate while another separate committee will be formed for the construction of the stadium adding that the government has a crucial role to play in the building of the stadium.
“The government should grant us the place to build the stadium,” said Chairman Kattel, “We will collect donations for the stadium from the people and the rest of the amount should be managed by the government.”
The Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation is well known for their work in the construction of integrated model settlements to earthquake, flood and fire affected victims. They have already constructed and handed over four such settlements. Courtesy: Ekantipur
