Every sector should get ready for prosperity: Prez Bhandari
Kathmandu / Apr 29: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that every sector of the country should get ready for prosperity and called on everyone to strive for development.
Inaugurating the Danuwar settlement in Bhimtar of Indrawati Rural Municipality in Sindhupalchok on Sunday, President Bhandari on Sunday informed the government has taken initiatives to supply the water of Melamchi to the Capital and reopen the Tatopani border point that was obstructed after the earthquake of April 25, 2015.
“Take up new campaigns and work enthusiastically we are ready to provide support,” said the president, adding, “It is necessary to promote important sites like Helambu and Tatopani.”
President Bhandari handed over a settlement comprising a community building, and a school built with a cost of Rs 270million to Ward chairman Kamal Ratna Danuwar. She noted that the work of SOS is praiseworthy and it is essential to extend supporting hands to under-privileged groups. She added that the task of making Sindhupalchok prosperous will move ahead, and the local government should preserve it.
Elated Danuwar families accorded a warm welcome to President Bhandari, who came here to hand over the newly built settlement.
SOS National Director Ishwori Prasad Sharma expressed his happiness that the new settlement has adorned the village.
