KMC removing illegal makeshift structures

Kathmandu MetropolitionKathmandu / May 10: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has removed about four dozens of temporary structures constructed illegally at Tilganga area.

KMC has started pulling down the makeshift structures including shops and sheds constructed in various parts of the metropolis. The KMC, as per the prevailing law, has started removing the shelters and other structures constructed for personal benefit in around 31 meters from the centre of main roads.

Such makeshifts were found constructed for running tea shops, vehicles repairing centres and junkyards, said KMC.

Along with it, KMC is initiating to remove footpath shops encroaching the pavements and roadsides in various areas in the capital. RSS
